Abstract:

A system and method for producing software code is provided. In particular, a new software design methodology is provided that is based on axiomatic design theory. In one aspect, axiomatic design theory is adapted for use in designing object-oriented software programs. This methodology overcomes the shortcomings of various software design strategies including extensive software development and debugging time and the need for extensive maintenance. Because traditional software design strategies are not heuristic and do not provide basic principles for the development of good software systems, bad design habits produce poor quality software. A design framework using axiomatic design for software overcomes many of the shortcomings of current software design techniques: high maintenance costs, limited reusability, the need for extensive debugging and testing, poor documentation, and limited extensibility of the software, all of which result in high development cost of software.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a solution structure of free RGS4 determined using NMR techniques. The structure includes a G binding site and an allosteric binding site. The structural information provided can be employed to identify, select or design agonists and antagonists of RGS4 activity. The invention includes two dimensional and three dimensional models and representations of the structure of free RGS4 based upon structural coordinates that are provided that are useful in the methods described.

Abstract:

Provided are methods of evaluating binding or a compound to a biomolecule. The methods utilize 1D NMR of the compound and 1D or 2D NMR of the biomolecule-compound mixture, along with 2D HSQC or TROSY methodology if a biomolecule-compound complex is formed. These methods are useful for evaluating biomolecule binding with more than one compound, e.g., a library of compounds, either individually or in mixtures. Abstract:

The present invention provides a methodology for increasing the critical current density carried by high transition temperature; superconductive materials. The methodology is employed using any Noble metal to form an electrically conductive coating; and is used with any high transition temperature superconductive material conventionally known. The resulting improved superconducting material demonstrates an enhanced critical current density capability in the order of 48%; and substantially decreases the degradation of the critical current density in the presence of an applied magnetic field; and offers a range of other advantages including environmental degradation protection, an increased mechanical strength, and an improved capability for adding electrical contacts.
