Abstract:
The disclosure relates to an insulation cover for a slotted barrel electrical terminal of the type mounted to a printed circuit board. The cover is molded of dielectric material in cylindrical form with an open end for receipt over a barrel terminal, and a closed end which is slotted to provide a seat against which an insertion tool is registered. A lengthwise slot of the cover receives one or more wires therein and grips across the cross section of each received wire to provide a strain relief. A projecting tab on the cover is utilized for gripping when removal of the cover from the terminal is required.

Abstract:
A load coil assembly housing for use with multiconductor cable containing a plurality of associated pairs of electrical conductors has connector terminals located along the periphery of the region in which load coils are located. That makes the otherwise conventional housing suitable for use with mass application tooling. Cable wires and load coil or component leads may be respectively attached by solderless and solder techniques to one terminal.

Abstract:
A fuse holder includes a pair of electrical terminals which releasably clamp opposite ends of a fuse. Each terminal has a wire terminating, slitted barrel portion to which wires are connected without a need for tools. The fuse and the terminals are enclosed within a two piece dielectric housing adjustable in length to accept a range of fuse lengths. Means are provided to prevent undesired loosening or opening of the housing.

Abstract:
Wire-in-slot connecting device comprises a plate-like connector member having an arcuate cross-section and having wire-receiving slot extending inwardly from one end thereof. An insulating housing for the connector member has wire-receiving openings extending therein from one side thereof and has connector member openings extending inwardly from an adjacent side which intersect the wire-receiving openings. The connector member openings have a cross-section which is in the form of a geometric segment, the radius of the arcuate wall thereof conforming to the radius of the connector member.
A terminal for use in establishing electrical contact with a plurality of wires is disclosed. A slotted terminal which can accept two wires, one above the other, in the same slot may be used in a multi-contact connector or as a splicing connector. Spaced apart plate sections containing an aligned pair of slots are employed. Offset contact slot sections and strain relief slot sections are used to ensure independent contact.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a metal plate terminal rolled into a barrel configuration having a longitudinal open seam defining a wire receiving slot. The terminal defines wire gripping jaws on either side of the seam. A transverse slot intersects the open seam dividing the jaws into two tandem pairs. An enlarged flared entryway is provided in the second pair of jaws for the open seam. The first set of jaws have tab portions projecting toward the second pair of jaws for guiding a wire along the open seam from the first set of jaws to the second. The transverse slot is of substantial width to prevent abrasion of the jaws with one another. The transverse slot further is of arcuate configuration, perpendicularly intersecting the open seam and incising one-fourth of a circumference of said barrel configuration on either side of said open seam.
A solderless plate-like wire connector suitable for insertion of two or more conductors into a single slot is presented. This connector is of the type in which a conductor is inserted into a slot with the edges of the slot penetrating the insulation and establishing electrical contact with the conductor. An arrangement of internal slots defining isolated internal beam systems is utilized. The existence of separate internal and external beam systems each acting primarily on different conductors minimizes the effect of one conductor on the stress exerted on the other conductor in the same slot.

Abstract:
An electrical connector for undercarpet flat, flexible cable includes a metal plate having plural lands raised in relief, a terminal block constructed to overlie selected lands and a fastener carried by the block to secure in one of the overlaid lands and apply the block and the overlaid lands in clamped relationship on a flat flexible cable, terminals in the terminal block are urged by the block to penetrate into the cable conductors to establish electrical connections.
