A method, system and/or computer usable program product for managing optimization of a transportation network system including identifying a set of items for transportation between a set of origins and a set of destinations during a set of time periods, prioritizing each of the set of items, utilizing a set of network constraints and costs, utilizing a set of loading constraints for a set of transportation units, the loading constraints limiting the quantity and placement of items for each transportation unit, optimizing a quantity of the set of transportation units for transporting the set of items between the set of origins and the set of destinations during the set of time periods based on the prioritization of each of the set of items, the network constraints and costs, and the loading constraints for each transportation unit, and adjusting the optimized quantity of transportation units to a discrete quantity based on the prioritization of each of the set of items and the network constraints and costs.

A laser heater assembly for a vaporizer includes a power source, a laser source, a lens, and a reaction chamber. The lens is disposed within the optical path. During operation, the laser source emits light, the light propagating along an optical path during operation of the light source. The lens receives the emitted light from the laser source, and outputs a modified light having an energy profile that is substantially spatially uniform. The modified light traverses at least a portion of an opening of the reaction chamber and vaporizes a vaporization substance (e.g., a dry plant material) received within the reaction chamber. The emitted light can be collimated light, and the modified light can be a homogeneous line profile beam.

Abstract:

A tunable Q resonator using a capacitive-piezoelectric transducer provides a flexible top electrode above an AlN resonator. The top electrode can be pulled electrostatically towards the resonator and substrate, forming a frictional contact with either the resonator or the combined resonator-electrode structure to the substrate, allowing for electrical tuning the Q of the resonator. With a sufficient electrostatic bias voltage V, the resonator may be completely turned OFF, allowing for an integrated switchable AlN resonator. Such switchable resonator may be integrated into a radio frequency (RF) front end as a digitally selectable band pass filter element, obviating the need for ancillary micromechanical switches in the signal path. The device has been demonstrated with a Q approaching 9,000, together with ON/OFF switchability and electromechanical coupling up to 0.63%. Flexible positioning of the top electrode allows for actively controlling the series resonant frequency of the resonator through changes in capacitive coupling.
