Abstract:

A hot air corn popping machine supplies popped corn which is useful as a packaging material. Unpopped kernels are fed into a hopper and through a motorized feed unit and sensor switch which provide controlled amounts of kernels into a popping chamber within a heating chamber. A blower motor provides pressurized air through heating coils around the popping chamber to pop the corn and direct the popped corn through an exhaust system. A ramp having a grating at the lower end separates unpopped kernels which are collected for recycling. The popped corn is blown upward through an exhaust tube for collection by an external collector. Cooler air from the blower motor is circulated around the outer surfaces of the heating chamber and other areas within the relatively air tight enclosure to prevent overheating and provide efficient operation. Various sensing and timing circuits control the sequence of operation of the feeder and blower motors and heater coils.

Abstract:

One embodiment provides a non-contact power transmitter device including a sealed housing provided at least partially within a surface, and a transmitter coil within the sealed housing configured to inductively transfer power to a power receiver device. The power transmitter device also includes a transmitter control unit coupled to the transmitter coil, a transceiver configured to communicate with the power receiver device, and an electronic processor coupled to the transmitter control unit and the transceiver. The electronic processor is configured to establish, using the transceiver, communication with the power receiver device, and negotiate power transfer requirements between the power transmitter device and the power receiver device. The electronic processor is also configured to control the transmitter coil unit to transfer power to the power receiver device.

An electrical connector includes a housing and a conductive contact member disposed in the housing. A first contact portion of the conductive contact member receives a blade contact of an electrical device and a second contact portion electrically engages an inserted electrical wire. A spring member is disposed in the housing and is connected to the contact member. A rotatable member is movable between first and second positions. When the rotatable member is in the second position the spring member secures an inserted wire in electrical engagement with the conductive contact member and prevents removal of the inserted wire. When the rotatable member is in the first position the spring member allows for removal of an inserted wire and allows for insertion of a wire in the housing.
