Abstract:A tool for installing compression connectors of various sizes and types on the end of a coaxial cable has a base mounting at least one movable anvil for engaging at least one length of connector. The base further incorporates a fixed anvil for engaging at least a second length of connector. The movable anvil defines an aperture or exit surfaces shaped to permit easy entry and exit of a cable while still applying a suitable retention force to an inserted cable. A slidably mounted plunger cooperates with the anvils to compress a connector.

Abstract:A paint shield for covering an electrical device has a generally planar plate with an attachment element connected thereto. The attachment element releasably engages one or more of a standard wall switch, a decor type switch or a socket. At least one overspray wall on the rear face of the plate is spaced from the perimeter of the plate and extends from the plate to provide protection from paint or other surface treatments. The overspray wall may also serve as an attachment element. Blisters at or near the edges of the plate define receptacle for receiving a mounting screw head.

Abstract:A wire insertion tool for a push-in wire connector has a frame and a slide assembly mounted for reciprocating motion on the frame. The frame includes a carriage on which a push-in wire connector is mounted. The slide assembly carries a wire holder which mounts an electric wire opposite the wire connector. An actuator extends to advance the slide assembly and carry a wire in the holder in a direction parallel to the axis of the wire. Advancement of the wire holder inserts the wire into the connector. The wire holder is then released and the slide assembly is retracted to prepare for the next insertion cycle.

Abstract:An electrical disconnect has first and second female contacts mounted in a power connector housing and first and second male contacts in a load connector housing. The male contacts each have a male blade contact finger. The female contacts each have a socket for removably receiving a male blade contact finger. At the rear ends of both the male and female contacts there are integrally formed push-in connector elements for receiving a conductor or wire. The disconnect is particularly suited for use in connecting power wires to a load device in a circuit, such as a fluorescent light ballast.
