Abstract:
A skid steer loader having a frame, ground support wheels extending from the frame, a cab with load bearing side walls extending upwardly from the frame to define an operators control area therebetween, and a boom structure comprising a pair of arms and a linkage assembly for operatively coupling the arms to the load bearing side walls. Each arm includes a front portion having a front end extending beyond the cab to support a bucket, a rear portion extending behind the cab, and an integral intermediate portion between the front and rear portions. The linkage assembly includes upper and lower links associated with each of the arms, each link being pivotally secured to the cab at a location above the wheels. The boom structure is powered for raising and lowering in concert each of the pairs of arms through a generally vertical path for moving the front end of the boom arms and bucket along a lift path. The bucket initially moves from a known position near the ground in a substantially vertical direction to an intermediate position in the lift path, and subsequently in a slightly forwardly inclined direction to a second intermediate position, from which it finally moves in a substantially vertical direction to complete its lift path.

Abstract:
Augers used in farm machinery are generally rotatably mounted in a bearing plate. Often the small diameter rotor shaft of the auger becomes fouled by crop material which wraps around the shaft ultimately inhibiting rotation and sometimes damaging rotor bearings. This is avoided by rotatably mounting a larger diameter auger tube within a recess formed in the bearing plate.

Abstract:
A crop handling unit for an axial-flow type combine harvester having an infeed region and tandem threshing and separating regions. An associated conveyor is provided for delivering crop material into the infeed region of the unit whereupon material is urged rearwardly along a generally helical path. Ultimately grain is separated from the crop material and discharged through concaves and grates in the threshing and separating regions, respectively, onto a grain pan. The infeed region is provided with improved means to spread out abnormally thick masses of material during its rearward travel.

Abstract:
A combine harvester comprising at least one generally cylindrical crop handling unit having tandem threshing and separating sections through which material is advanced along a generally helical path. A conveyor is provided for receiving crop material from a forwardly positioned crop header and delivering it axially into the cylindrical unit. During operation, grain is separated from the crop material and discharged through concaves and grates in the threshing and separating sections, respectively, onto a grain pan which in turn deposits it on cleaning sieves located rearwardly of the grain pan. The clean grain is elevated to a storage tank mounted on the combine while the residue is conveyed rearwardly and expelled onto the field. The grate in the separating section is cylindrical in configuration and comprises a plurality of generally transverse members retained by spaced longitudinal rub bars defining a configuration of apertures permitting discharge of grain over most or all of the circumferential surface of the cylindrical unit. One or more of the transverse members have at least one slightly askew section to assist advancement of crop material along its helical path in the separating section of the combine.

Abstract:
A deflector panel is pivotally mounted within the straw hood of a combine and is disposable between a first position wherein residue material emanating from the combine is deflected into a straw chopper and a second position wherein the emanating material is deflected through the residue outlet of the straw hood, forwardly of the straw chopper, and discharged onto the ground.

Abstract:
An infeed mechanism for a rotary cleaning device for cleaning threshed grain in combine harvesters is disclosed wherein an infeed auger includes a pair of helical flights terminating in a pair of radially extending distributing paddles. The infeed auger is mounted forwardly of a rotatable cleaning cylinder with the distributing paddles being positioned within the axial opening through the cleaning cylinder to discharge threshed grain radially outwardly into individual cleaning shoes. A grain pan is provided within each cleaning shoe to receive the threshed grain discharged from the distributing paddles, each cleaning shoe being operable to reciprocatably move in a generally fore-and-aft direction to convey grain received on the grain pans rearwardly onto sieves also mounted within the cleaning shoes. The infeed mechanism is also provided with an upwardly extending infeed chute that is flared outwardly from top to bottom to serve as a conduit for the infeed of threshed grain into the infeed auger.

Abstract:
A mobile combine having longitudinally extending rotor and concave threshing members and a reciprocating grain pan beneath said concave to receive threshed and partially threshed crop products for passage to sieve mechanism, and angular deflector members fixed to and reciprocable with said grain pan and extending longitudinally therewith, said members extending downward and inward from opposite sides of the chamber below said concave and above said grain pan to deflect grain falling from said concave and direct it toward the center of said grain pan to prevent crop material from gravitating more to one side of said grain pan than the other such as during hillside harvesting operations.

, the Gulf Stream has warmed faster than the global ocean as a whole and has shifted towards the coast. The study, led by Robert Todd, a physical oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), relies on over 25,000 temperature and salinity profiles collected between 2001 and 2023. WHOI oceanographers launch Spray gliders, which provide measurements below the surface of the Gulf Stream, and complement satellites that routinely measure water temperature at the ocean surface. Conceived by Derksen and Robert Todd of the Tribal Spirit Powwow label (home of the Juno-winning A Tribe Called Red) as an investigation of the intersection of contemporary and traditional art forms, Orchestral Powwow is a unique blending of the 11-piece Chippewa Travellers powwow group as well as N
der (as Democratic operative WN Bilbo) and especially Tommy Lee Jones (as Republican Congressional leader Thaddeus Stevens). Joseph Gordon Levitt is also effective (as Lincolns son Robert Todd), but the subplot regarding his efforts to enlist in the war feels a bit forced and contrived.
