A power supplying apparatus includes a conversion device to convert direct current (DC) power from a battery set into alternating current (AC) power. A current transformer arrangement may generate a DC charging signal based on the AC power and provide the DC charging signal to the battery set. The current transformer may include a plurality of current transformers.

Abstract:

Porous friction facing materials containing cellulose fibers are coated with an impregnant of ethyl silicate to provide automatic transmission clutch plate and band linings of improved frictional properties, durability, wear and heat resistance, without use of asbestos. A sheet of paper-like fibrous material may be first impregnated with a phenolic resin binder which is cured to form a first coating and then impregnated with a hydrolyzed solution of ethyl silicate in a solvent. The material is further heated to drive off the solvent and cure the ethyl silicate to form a second outer coating having a higher coefficient of friction than the first coating. The silicate impregnated lining is then bonded to the steel plate or band. Alternatively, the resin impregnated lining material may be first bonded to the metal plate and then the entire plate assembly is impregnated with the ethyl silicate solution and cured.

Abstract:

Security vulnerabilities of one or more target hosts are assessed by a remote or local host via a server. The hosts and the server are coupled to the internet and communicate via hypertext pages and email. A user at an arbitrary host on the internet inputs data identifying the user and/or the arbitrary host, and the target host. A network address is obtained for the user and a certification file such as Internic can be checked to determine a network address of the user and confirm that the user is authorized to assess the security vulnerabilities of the target host. A facts file is built on the server by polling the services available at the target host, including inquiries to the various ports of the TCP subsystem, for building a table of services and responses. A security algorithm compares the responses to stored data for identifying likely security vulnerabilities. A hypertext report file (transmitted in a secure manner) is made accessible to the arbitrary host, containing report information identifying likely security vulnerabilities and hyperlinks to descriptive information and outside advisory pages.
