Abstract:

Apparatuses, methods and storage media associated with proof of location are disclosed herewith. In embodiments, an apparatus may include communication circuitry configured to communicate with one or more external servers jointly hosting a distributed ledger of proximal device records, and posting circuitry configured to post records of sharing of a proximity record of the apparatus with one or more other apparatuses located proximally to the apparatus, and records of receipts of proximity records of the other proximally located apparatuses from the other proximally located apparatuses, into the distributed ledger. The proximity records posted into the distributed ledger may be used to prove the apparatus's location. Additionally, other embodiments, including a participating host server of a distributed ledger or a server of a product/service provider, are also disclosed.

Abstract:

Technologies for managing assets of a data center include a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communicatively coupled to a remote computing device. The UAV is configured to navigate throughout a data center and capture data center mapping information during the navigation usable to generate a three-dimensional (3D) model of the data center. The UAV is further configured to transmit the captured data center mapping information to a remote computing device. Accordingly, the UAV can receive instructions from a remote computing device that define a type of task to be performed by the UAV in the data center and perform such a task (e.g., a data center map update task, an asset inventory task, a maintenance task, a visual inspection task, etc.) based on the received task instructions. A method for virtual guard rail implementation includes collecting user parameters, representing user limitations, for a computer simulation executed by a computer. Execution of the computer simulation is monitored for virtual content that exceeds the user parameters. The monitoring may be performed in real-time and prior to presentation of the content on a display to the user. Virtual content that exceeds the user parameters is replaced with virtual guard rail content that remains within the user parameters.

Abstract:

Various examples are directed to a haptic device for manipulating a virtual projectile. The haptic device may receive a trajectory of the virtual projectile. A position circuit may determine a first position of a body part of a user based at least in part on a motion signal received from a motion sensor. A comparator circuit may determine a first distance between the first position of the body part and the trajectory. A feedback circuit may excite a haptic actuator of the haptic device at a first level. The position circuit may also determine a second position of the body part. The comparator circuit may also determine a second distance between the second position of the body part and the trajectory. The second distance may be different than the first distance. The feedback circuit may excite the haptic actuator at a second level different than the first level.

Abstract:

Apparatuses, methods and storage media associated with a solution provisioning system (“SPS”) are disclosed herein. The SPS may provide solutions for problems experienced by user computing systems (“UCSes”). The SPS may receive system state data (“SSD”) from a system state retriever (“SSR”) of the UCS, such as after an indication from a user that a problem is occurring or after the SSR automatically identifies problems. The SPS may include a solution determiner (“SD”) to determine solutions for problems. The SD may identify common actions which are performed by other users when facing similar problems. Solutions may include predicted solutions, such as when the problem experienced by the UCS is a new problem, and/or confirmed solutions, such as when the problem has been experienced and a solution has been determined before.
