Abstract:

Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for displaying the operating efficiency of a processor. Embodiments include determining, by an efficiency monitor, a voltage level that a voltage regulator device provides to a processor; determining, by the efficiency monitor, whether the voltage level is within a predetermined minimum voltage range; and if the voltage level is within the predetermined minimum voltage range, displaying, by the efficiency monitor, a user notification indicating an efficiency of the processor.

Abstract:

A system and method automatically scale the resolution of video output of a selected workstation blade so that an administrator can view the video output by the selected workstation blade in the same format as it is displayed at the user terminal associated with the selected workstation blade. The video is automatically scaled to the administrator's VGA resolution while maintaining the same end-user DVI resolution and displaying the video so that the administrator may see the video output regardless of display format at the end user. This system and method allows the administrator to see the entire display.

A method includes running servers to provide computer services to client devices and storing a hardware profile for each of a plurality of server models, wherein each hardware profile identifies hardware components that should be enabled to implement the server model on one of the servers. A request is received from a client device to provide computer services on one or more of the servers using a selected server model and applying the hardware profile for the selected server model to configure the hardware components of the one or more of the servers to use the identified hardware components without manually reconfiguring the one or more of the servers. Still further, the method includes providing computer services to the client device using the one or more of the servers that has been configured using the hardware profile for the selected server model.
