Education:
Fashion Institute of Technology 2006 - 2010
BFA, Graphic DesignI received my Associates in Applied Science from FIT, in May 2008 for Communication Design. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and continued into the BFA program the following fall.
University of the Arts London 2009 - 2009
I spent one term studying in the very unique Design for Advertising program. While studying, I developed a more comprehensive and intricate way of planning and developing my ideas through intensive sketchbook work. While studying I had the opportunity to learn letterpress, screen printing, and many book arts techniques. I enjoying studying here so much, that it effectively encouraged me to consider my career path, and my found appreciation for handmade arts and graphics has grown. I hope to continue my work with these techniques in the future. London is also a very inspiring and amazing place to gain confidence and support. It will forever be in my heart.
Temple University 2004 - 2005
Ever since I could remember, I have been interested in the arts. During high school, I also excelled in the sciences, so when it came time to apply to college, I persued what made the most sense. Upon entering, a professor made an interesting comment that I'll never forget, she said, "Two things can happen along the way which might be unexpected, you will either love it and be terrible at it or you will be amazing and not love it." At the time, I didn't quite understand, but after my first year, I had learned a lot and had done very well, and excelled to become one of the best students. But something was wrong, my heart was torn, I could either follow my new found success and be unhappy, or I could change majors to something that felt better. After giving the Fall 2005 semester another chance, I left architecture school, in the winter of 2005, to think about my career aspirations and to eventually apply to Graphic Design programs.
