Roger Martin is a native Texan and graduate of the University of Texas. He began his real estate career in Austin in 1974. In 1982, he moved to Houston and worked successfully with several large real estate firms. In 1989 he ventured out on his own by opening Roger Martin Properties. Since the beginning, Roger has remained faithful to his firm's mission - to offer Unmatched Personal Attention to his clients. Roger believes that part of this personalized service is to educate both buyers and sellers about real estate. “I don’t really sell my clients,” he claims. “I educate them. Once they are grounded enough to make a comfortable decision, they sell themselves!” Roger believes that market statistics are an indicator, not an absolute - which makes selling real estate both an art and a science. Roger Martin Properties is a small, but very active realty firm. Roger and his agents regularly rank on the Houston Association of Realtors “Top Producers” list of the 150 best agents in Houston. Roger and his assistant, Jane Jurgens, work together as a team. Jane is also a broker. Roger Martin has always been an active contributor to the neighborhood. He became a Houston Independent School District Business/School Partner for West U Elementary School. He has donated computers to the school and has been a steady contributor to the school every since. He has been quoted in the Houston Chronicle as stating, “The community has been very supportive of my efforts, and this is one way I have of returning something to the community.” Among many other activities in the community, he is an active member of the West University Rotary Club, and was co-chair of the 1999 West University Park Lovers Ball. Roger lives in West University Place with his wife Ann. Their son Christopher has recently joined them at Roger Martin Properties
