Abstract:

A computer includes a motherboard having first and second sets of expansion card slots, an expansion card bulkhead defining expansion card openings, and a configurable alignment mechanism operable to place the motherboard and the expansion card openings into first and second configurations relative to one another. In the first configuration, the first set of expansion card slots is aligned with the openings. In the second configuration, the second set of expansion card slots is aligned with the openings.

Abstract:

Embodiments of an electronic device and method are disclosed herein. One embodiment of the electronic device comprises a power supply and a processor circuit. The power supply comprises a supply input and a supply output, the supply output suppling a first power when the supply input is at a first voltage and a second power when the supply input is at a second voltage. The processor circuit comprises a processor circuit power input and a processor circuit output. The processor circuit power input is operatively connectable to the supply output and the processor circuit output is operatively connectable to the supply input. The first voltage is present at the supply input when the processor circuit output is operatively connected to the supply input.

Abstract:

A mechanical interlock for securing a cover to a housing may include a cover latch coupled to a wall of a housing, and a spring biasing the cover latch in a first direction and coupled between the wall of the housing and the cover latch. The mechanical interlock may further include an arm coupled to the cover latch at a first end of the arm, and an electrical socket aperture defined within the wall of the housing juxtaposed to a second end of the arm. When the cover latch is returned to the first position via the spring after the cover is removed from the housing, the arm permits for the electrical cord to interface with the electrical socket.
