Apparatus for maintaining a radiation sensitive portion thereof in alignment with a distant source of radiation during relative movement between the situs of the apparatus and the source, wherein movement from alignment causes a differential in energy output in spaced apart elements of the radiation sensitive portion which is transformed into mechanical energy to return the portion to alignment.
A coupling mechanism, comprising a relatively fixed member and a relatively moveable member, is configured such that said moveable member may be securely connected in a locked position with said relatively fixed member by remote control of a shiftable member mounted on said relatively moveable member, and which shiftable member may be moved by remote control, into a position allowing disconnection, when desired.
A radiant energy utilization device including an aiming detector sensing the relative angle of radiation received and outputting signals in accordance therewith to control aiming of the device or portions thereof or for other purposes.
An apparatus for causing a solar energy collector to constantly follow the sun using the sun's radiant energy reflected from an arrangement of mirrors to differentially heat fluid-containing reservoirs to create a differential pressure which is utilized to rotate the apparatus and the collector.

Abstract:
This invention comprises a cryogenic cooling device operating in the manner f a split Stirling cycle engine whereby a sinusoidal pressure-wave generator distal to a regenerator displacer piston and accompanying cylinder, individually compresses in a delayed manner and expands a contained volume of gas in an expander housing respective to regenerator displacer piston travel to bring about a cooling effect in an attached displacer housing.
