Abstract:

A method for improving hospital revenues by creating a special care unit entails providing a connection site for a qualified patient who is the member of an association to request an actual time to be seen by a team member within a special care unit in a hospital. The request for the actual time to be seen by the team member is confirmed and the qualified patient is evaluated by the team member at the special care unit within thirty minutes of the actual time to ascertain a medical problem. The method continues by treating the qualified patient based on an evaluation of the medical problem and discharging the qualified patient. A marketing agreement with the association is created, wherein the association markets the special care unit to the members. The association is registered the with the special care unit to identify other members as qualified patients.

Abstract:

A system for improving personalized care at an urgent care unit by creating a high-level of quality service includes a special care unit in the urgent care unit and a team trained to provide high quality customer care and thereby invoke patient loyalty to the urgent care unit. The urgent care unit has a contract with an association that enables association members to become qualified patients. Qualified patients are provided an indicator to allow the team to accept the qualified patient for treatment. The qualified patients use an interface to request to request a time, the time is confirmed, and an examination ensues within thirty minutes of the time. The team member makes an evaluation to determine whether the patient stays or is transferred to the emergency department. A treatment is devised based on the evaluation.

Abstract:

The methods to provide emergency health care to patients with insurance entail creating a special care unit in a hospital and creating a contractual relationship between the special care unit and an association. The qualified patient is insured through the association and is provided with an indicator. An interface is provided for the qualified patient to request an actual time to be seen by the team; confirming the actual time; receiving the qualified patient with the indicator at the actual time, wherein the qualified patient is seen by the team in less processing time than the emergency department; evaluating the qualified patient within 30 minutes of the actual time to ascertain a medical problem; determining if the qualified patient stays in the special care unit or is to be transferred to the hospital's emergency department; treating the qualified patient based on the evaluation; and dispositioning the qualified patient.
