An electrical connector of the extension type having multiple plug-in receptacles opening onto opposed surfaces of a connector body, a pair of cover plates being mounted on the connector body for selective movement to expose one, two or three of the receptacles for insertion of electrical plugs or to simultaneously shield all of the receptacles.
