Abstract:
A vehicle heating, ventilation and air conditioning (“HVAC”) system includes an HVAC control, a fan, an evaporator downstream from the fan, a cooler box downstream from the evaporator, a condenser in fluid communication with the evaporator and a compressor in fluid communication with the condenser and the evaporator. A method for cooling items using the HVAC system includes detecting a cooler box signal from the HVAC control, in response to detecting the cooler box signal, opening or closing a valve interposed between the evaporator and the cooler box, and in response to detecting the cooler box signal, performing at least one of the following: changing an HVAC mode or adjusting power delivered to the fan. Opening the valve can allow cool air to travel through a passage toward the cooler box. Closing the valve can block cool air from traveling through the passage toward the cooler box.

Abstract:
Some embodiments generally relate to a hook assembly, including a pivotable hook body adapted to rotate about a pivot axis running in a generally vertical direction. According to some embodiments, the hook assembly can further include at least one hook portion including a generally vertical recess defined by a portion of the top side of the hook body extending downwardly toward a bottom side. The assembly can further include a pivot member for pivoting the pivotable hook body about the pivot axis; and a frame member adapted to receive the pivotable hook body in a stowed configuration or one or more deployed configurations. Furthermore, frame member is adapted to fix the hook body in a pivotal relation about the pivot axis and can include an indexing opening or seat for defining one or more indexed orientations such as a stowed orientation or a deployed orientation.
A flexible sliding lid assembly including a guided lid comprised of a plurality of flexibly interconnected lid segments. The lid includes a rib or a plurality of spaced ribs that extend upward from a top surface of the lid along a rear portion thereof. A cover plate overlies at least a portion of the lid when the lid is in an opened position. The cover plate includes one or more grooves in which the rib/ribs travel when the lid is slidably opened and closed. If an object residing on the lid during lid opening passes through a gap between the lid and the cover plate, the object will be caught by the projecting rib(s), trapped between the top of the lid and the cover plate, and returned to an exposed position along the rear of the lid for easy retrieval when the lid is subsequently closed.
A center console box is dimensioned for receipt between laterally spaced seats in an automotive vehicle. Sidewalls and end walls cooperate with a bottom wall having a stepped configuration to accommodate a HVAC duct passing beneath the raised bottom wall portion of the console box. A slidable wall portion is laterally movable between a first, storage position where it resides beneath the first bottom wall portion, and a second, operative position disposed in generally side-by-side relation with the first bottom wall portion. This forms a hidden compartment in the extended depth portion of the cavity overlying the second bottom wall portion.

Abstract:
A gas sensor for sensing a gas of interest includes a ceramic carrier and a porous ceramic lid that is secured to the ceramic carrier. The porous ceramic lid and the ceramic carrier together define a sensor cavity. A gas sensor is situated in the sensor cavity and is spaced from the porous ceramic lid. The porous ceramic lid is configured to allow the gas of interest to move through at least part of the porous ceramic lid and into the sensor cavity to be sensed by the gas sensor. In some cases, the gas sensor is a MEMS gas sensor.
Since then, communities across the USA have held marches, readings, plays and festivals to recognize the anniversary. A movement for wider recognition has come from the National Juneteenth Holiday Campaign, launched by Ronald Myers, a medical missionary in the Mississippi Delta.
