Alcatel USA Sourcing, L.P. - Plano TX
International Classification:
H04Q 720
US Classification:
455461, 455433, 455560, 455445, 3792211
Abstract:
A system and method for application location register routing at a signal transfer point ( ) are provided. The signal transfer point ( ) includes processor clusters ( ) and databases ( ) for processing queries including global title translation, local number portability, and application location register routing. A query message is received by the signal transfer point ( ), a first database residing in the signal transfer point ( ) is accessed to determine the location of a second database ( ) also residing in the signal transfer point for processing the query message. The second database ( ) is then accessed to obtain the network address of a home location register or short message service center, which is then used to deliver the query message to the network node specified by the network address.
Apparatus, And Associated Method, For Facilitating Routing Of A Call To A Public Safety Answering Point
Apparatus, and an associated method, for facilitating service handling of a call placed to a public safety answering point using a universal dialing code, such as an emergency 9-1-1 dialing code. A centralized routing database is formed and maintained. When a call is originated and routed to a call routing entity, the centralized routing data base is accessed to obtain the identity of the public safety answering point to which to route the call. Thereby, a call connection is formed to an appropriate public safety answering point. Due to the centralized nature of the routing data base, updates to the data base are readily and easily ascertainable.

Alcatel Lucent - Paris
International Classification:
H04L 9/00
US Classification:
713151, 380255, 380270, 380283
Abstract:
Apparatus, and an associated method, for communicating a signaling message, such as a message signaling unit, in secure form, even upon a communication path of an untrusted security level. The signaling message is applied to a signal transfer point. An encryption selector selects whether to encrypt the signaling message and, if so, which parts of the message to encrypt. If a portion of the signaling message encrypts the selected portion and causes the signaling message to be communicated upon a communication path to a destination. Once delivered to a trusted signal transfer point, the selected portion of the signaling message is decrypted, and the signaling message is delivered to the ultimate destination.

Alcatel USA Sourcing, L.P. - Plano TX
International Classification:
H04M 342
US Classification:

Abstract:
A signal transfer point (14) in a telecommunications network (10) distributes messages to a plurality of service control points (16) as a result of global title translation processing. The signal transfer point (14) assigns a message allocation to each of the service control points (16). The signal transfer point (14) equally distributes messages to the service control points (16) in a sequential manner. The signal transfer point (14) keeps track of the number of messages sent to each service control point (16). When a particular service control point (16) reaches its message allocation, the signal transfer point (14) prevents further messages to be sent to the particular service control point (16). The signal transfer point (14) then continues sequential and equal distribution to the remaining service control points (16) until each service control point (16) reaches its message allocation. The signal transfer point (14) then resets to send a next set of messages to the service control points (16).
