A reusable container comprises a base provided with a plurality of cut-outs, a lid provided with a plurality of cut-outs, and at least one wall panel comprising a plurality of tabs formed as unitary extensions of the wall panel, wherein the plurality of tabs engage the plurality of cuts-outs, securing the at least one wall panel to the base and to the lid. A back wall, a front wall brace, and at least one side wall brace provide support for the product. A method for electro-mechanically loading the container is also provided.

Abstract:
A reusable container comprises a base comprising a pair of frame members, a pair of end pieces and a center section, wherein the base is provided with a plurality of tab slots, a lid provided with a plurality of tab slots, and at least one wall comprising a plurality of locking tabs formed as unitary extensions of the wall, wherein the plurality of locking tabs engage the plurality of tab slots, securing the to the base and to the lid. A back brace carrier having at least one rib formed as a unitary extension of the back brace carrier cooperates with a rib on the lid to removably captivate a back brace. The back brace provides support for the product. The walls may have a length and define a first plane, and have unitary exterior ribs running along the length. The walls also have unitary corner flanges formed at a right angle to the first plane.

Abstract:
A reusable container and a method of using same to transport fragile, yet heavy loads, is provided. The reusable container, preferably made primarily from wood, includes a base member, at least one vertical member having one or more vertical support members capable of being received in one or more interlock pockets in the base member, a top or lid and a cargo support member. These components interact in such a way as to provide for ease of assembly and disassembly by a single person, and to provide a container having great strength when assembled. More specifically, the at least one vertical member interlocks with the base member and adjacent vertical members, thus minimizing the need for supplemental fasteners.
The present invention relates to a reusable, collapsible container, which when in a disassembled state is completely contained in an area no larger than the base member thereof, is easy to assemble, and due to the interlocking features of a number of the component parts of the container, requires a minimal number of separate locking/fastening devices.
