I have extensive knowledge of the methods, practices, materials and tools used in fabrication and welding processes (certified 6G GMAW, SMAW and GTAW, coded 4955 NEC and 4911 Shipfitter NEC Navy welder), including certifications in various metal types (aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel and bio metallic). I am efficient in the use of jigs, fixtures and other template equipment, structural repair and welding, stainless steel and carbon-steel steam pipe and hydraulic systems, also to include plasma cutting. I am trained quality control and assurance inspector. I possess a working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions. I have the ability to perform tasks requiring mechanical aptitude, to read and comprehend blueprints, charts and technical repair manuals, to work from sketches, building plans, specifications and oral and written instructions and to prepare required reports and record maintenance activities. I am trained and efficient in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, such as cranes, forklifts, loaders and other equipment to include drill presses, brake presses, metal brakes bending and rolling machines, grinders, etc.. I am capable of working independently while performing repairs and overhauls. I have been able to effectively present information to customers, and other employees of the organization.
