Some do (receive money), as (intended parents) are paying some under the table, says Sally Rhoads-Heinrich, a former surrogate who now runs one of Canadas largest surrogacy agencies, Surrogacy Canada Online. Its really bad now because the demand has outstripped the supply.
The decision is "a step forward for the law catching up with the advancements in assisted reproduction," said Sally Rhoads-Heinrich, who operates an Ontariobased information and referral service for Canadians involved in surrogacy.
