Abstract:

A method and system for capturing research decision flow in a Research and Development (R&D) activity are provided. The method includes defining an objective of the R&D activity and determining one or more requirements for fulfilling the objective of the R&D activity. Further, the method includes identifying a set of risks associated with failure to satisfy the one or more requirements. Furthermore, the method also includes developing a task plan to satisfy the one or more requirements and mitigate one or more risks of the set of risks. Furthermore, the method also includes linking the objective, the one or more requirements, the set of risks and the task plan, to generate a linked information record.

Exemplary embodiments disclose a method, a computer program product, and a computer system for managing certification efforts for obtaining regulatory approvals to market products. Exemplary embodiments use the certification argument framework to structure complex certification efforts and build a database of related information. The method includes linking the one or more evidences to one or more rationales that demonstrate a sufficiency of the one or more evidences and linking one or more tasks, that can generate the one or more evidences, to the certification argument. Abstract:

Exemplary embodiments disclose a method, a computer program product, and a computer system for searching technical documents. Exemplary embodiments may include the use of lexicons to generate customized hash functions; utilizing customized hash functions to generate hashcodes of technical text in document repositories; building a database of hashcodes from the repository; utilizing the customized hash functions for generating a hashcode of a search query; and correlating the search hashcode with the hashcode database to produce search results. A computer-implemented method to search technical text includes constructing one or more base hash functions for generating hashcodes that represent semantic content of technical text and accessing one or more lexicons describing technical terminology. The method includes utilizing the one or more lexicons to create one or more customized hash functions from the one or more base hash functions to generate hashcodes that more accurately represent a semantic content of the technical terminology in the one or more lexicons compared to the base hash functions.
