Abstract:

A geometry tiler identifies tiles on a computers screen that are covered by a graphics primitive by use of edges of the graphics primitive. Precise identification of tiles of various types (such as edge tiles covered by a segment) eliminates identification of one or more tiles that are merely located adjacent to the graphics primitive, but are not touched by the graphics primitive. For example, the geometry tiler can identify each of three types of tiles: vertex tiles, edge tiles and interior tiles. In one implementation, the geometry tiler identifies all tiles that are covered by a graphics primitive in the form of a convex polygon by: (a) determining attributes of at least one segment in the convex polygon, (b) determining iteration descriptors for each segment by using the attributes, (c) for each segment in the convex polygon, scanning the segment and identifying each edge tile that is covered by the segment, and (d) for each column of tiles in the screen, going from one edge tile in the column to another edge tile in the column and identifying each interior tile that is located within an area enclosed by the segments of the primitive. In one specific implementation, the geometry tiler simultaneously identifies edge tiles that are covered by two segments of the convex polygon that are located opposite to each other (such as a top segment and a bottom segment).

Methods and systems for optimizing graphics data processing employ various binning flush algorithms to optimize the utilization of binning memory in a graphics system. Abstract:

A system and method for the efficient use of satellite radio modems and satellite bandwidth is disclosed. In the system and method, a satellite radio modem is used for PRACH requests, each PRACH request occupying 31. 25 kHz in a packet data transfer channel. The packet data transfer channels can be either 125. 0 kHz or 156. 25 kHz. Therefore, four PRACH requests can be transmitted in any one packet data transfer channel. The packet data transfer channels are broken into eight time slots, and one time slot in each channel (either the odd frame or even frame) is dedicated to a PRACH request. A satellite radio modem for PDCH transfers is dedicated for each channel. The satellite radio modem assigned to receive the four PRACH requests is timeshared over 16 channels, thereby reducing the amount of satellite radio modems that would otherwise have been needed, had the PRACH request transmissions utilized a dedicated modem for each PRACH request, for each channel.

An apparatus comprising an artificial noise (AN) controller coupled to a digital subscriber line (DSL) transmitter and configured to adjust an AN level for a signal transmitted by the DSL transmitter, wherein the AN level is adjusted based on an actual signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the signal from the receiver to achieve a desired SNR for the signal. Also disclosed is a method comprising maintaining a data rate in a line at about a desired level by adjusting an AN level in a transmitted signal based on a SNR of a received signal.

Abstract:

A method may include receiving a packet at an ingress line interface in a forwarding plane of a network element, the packet including header information. The method may also include conducting a flow table lookup in the forwarding plane to identify an existing flow for the packet and determining, in the forwarding plane and based on the header information, whether a predicted flow can be identified for the packet if an existing flow can not be identified. Abstract:

Techniques are disclosed for obtaining and maintaining synchronization of the TTR clock during a Channel Discovery Phase of DSL transceiver initialization for a DSL service operating in a TCM-ISDN crosstalk environment. The customer premises DSL transceiver achieves synchronization of its TTR clock throughout the Channel Discovery Phase of the DSL initialization procedure using a TTR indication signal transmitted by the central office transceiver. In addition to enabling basic communications, keeping TTR synchronization improves the accuracy of quiet noise measurement and the reliability of message exchanges, even on very long and noisy loops.

The present invention provides a method of modulating T cell receptor (“TCR”) dependant regulation of a signaling factor in a T cell, and a method of modulating the proliferation and/or differentiation of a T cell, which includes administering to the T cell an IBP modulator in an amount effective to modulate the function of IBP.
