Abstract:

A compartmentalized container includes a base, an insert and a lid. The base includes a bottom and a sidewall. The sidewall encompasses and extends generally upwardly from the bottom. The insert is coupled with the base in which the coupled insert and base form a venting area. The lid is coupled with at least one of the insert and the base. The lid forms at least one vent that is in communication with the venting area formed with the insert and the base.

A polymeric container assembly comprises first and second polymeric containers. The first polymeric container includes a first continuous body portion and a first rim having a first surface. The first rim encompasses and projects laterally outwardly from the first body portion. The first surface of the first rim includes a first cohesive. The second polymeric container includes a second continuous body portion and a second rim having a second surface. The second rim encompasses and projects laterally outwardly from the second body portion. The second surface of the second rim includes a second cohesive. The first container and the second container are adapted to be releasably attachable to each other by pressing the first and second rims together such that the first cohesive and the second cohesive contact and releasably attach to each other.

Abstract:

Base for a food container includes a base member having a perimeter and a central region, a retaining ring of height H and width W formed between the perimeter and the central region, and extending upwardly from the central region, and a plurality of recesses in the retaining ring, each recess extending across the width W of the retaining ring from the perimeter toward the central region of the base member. Container further includes a lid having a perimeter configured to engage the perimeter of the base member. Method of making a food container is also provided.
