Abstract:

One or more patches adhered to a bag have a first-patch-overhang-region and a second-patch-overhang-region, wherein at least a portion of said first-patch-overhang-region is adhered to said second-patch-overhang-region. The overhang regions are preferably present on separate patches adhered to the bag. The patches can extend completely around the bag, eliminating uncovered regions, thereby providing protection against puncture by a bone-in meat product packaged within the bag. This âfull width patch bagâ has been discovered to be particularly beneficial in reducing punctures in the packaging of whole bone-in pork loins. Other bag embodiments without patch overhangs are also disclosed, for solving the bone puncture problem by providing alternative full width patch bags.

Abstract:

The invention relates to a novel incentive and compensation plan for motivating and rewarding employees, and a computer system for implementing said plan. It is an object of the present invention to provide a stock-based incentive and compensation plan that rewards employees based on the performance of the company. The present invention provides methods and systems for providing an employee incentive and compensation plan, which include deferring a portion of an employee's compensation for a period of time. The financial performance of the employee's company is evaluated over the selected period of time, and the employee's total deferred compensation is converted into a number of units based on the amount deferred, the average share price of the company stock, and the financial performance of the company. The employee's units are valued based on the average share price of the company stock, and the total compensation is paid to participating employees as an incentive and compensation plan.

A microwaveable package includes a support member; a bottom web; a food product; and a top web; where the seal between the top and bottom webs has a peel strength, before microwaving, of at least 4 pounds per inch, and a peel strength, after microwaving, of less than 2.5 pounds per inch. Abstract:

The real estate investment trust (“REIT”) structure and mechanism manages earnings distributions from the REIT to maintain REIT status. The REIT issues common stock to a bank affiliated parent (“holder”) in exchange for real estate related assets. The holder covenants to consent to consent dividends, under which the holder covenants to pay taxes on a consent dividend amount while the REIT deducts the consent dividend amount and retains the amount for each dividend period. The REIT also issues preferred securities to investors. At each dividend period, the REIT can declare cash dividends to preferred investors and/or declare consent dividends such that the REIT distributes at least a regulatory percentage of its annual income to preferred and common stockholders in order to maintain REIT status. The REIT is thus adequately capitalized, maintains status as a REIT, and receives stronger agency ratings, with regard to equity content, for the preferred securities.
