Abstract:

An accessory which becomes an integral part of a semi-automatic firearm whereby the firearm is converted from one with a detachable magazine into one with a fixed magazine. The device is comprised of an upper tension bar and a magazine catch bar whereby the upper tension bar holds the magazine firmly within the magazine well receiver when the upper tension bar is contacting the upper receiver. When the upper receiver and lower receiver of the firearm are in an open position, the upper tension bar freely moves inward toward the firearm, allowing the magazine catch bar to remove from the magazine well receiver. A user may then remove the magazine from the magazine well receiver and replace it with a new magazine. The user must reattach the upper receiver to the lower receiver before utilizing the firearm.

Abstract:

A deroll control system includes an outer housing, a detector configured to capture an image, an annular torsional flexure, at least one drive and a controller configured to control the at least one drive. The annular torsional flexure has a rotatable inner mount surface to which the detector is mounted, a fixed outer mount surface fixed to the outer housing and spaced radially apart from the rotatable inner mount surface, and a flexure region having a plurality of flexures spaced radially between the inner mount surface and the outer mount surface. The at least one drive is coupled to the inner mount surface of the torsional flexure and is configured to cause a counter-rotation of the inner mount surface and the detector about a central rotational axis perpendicular to an image plane to correct a rotation of the image as the detector is capturing the image.

Base station antennas include a RET actuator, a plurality of phase shifters and a plurality of mechanical linkages, where each mechanical linkage is connected between the RET actuator and a respective one or more of the phase shifters. The RET actuator includes a drive element, a rotatable element and a mechanical linkage selection system that is configured to move a selected one of the mechanical linkages into engagement with the drive element. Abstract:

Disclosed embodiments include a distributed nondestructive inspection method and system for slickline cable structural defect and mechanical strength degradation inspection. One method may include transmitting a light pulse along an optical fiber embedded in a slickline cable. A reflected light signal is received from the optical fiber in response to the local strain induced refractive index variation. Defects and mechanical strength degradation may be determined by time-dependent time-domain and frequency-domain data analyses of the dynamic strain signals and power spectral density variation as a function of time and cable location.

Abstract:

Assemblies and methods of use are disclosed for repairing the coating of a coated wellbore line. A wellbore line can be cleaned and then coated with a repair material before being pulled through a die to shape the coating and then being pulled through setting section to set the repair material. The repair material can be a thermoplastic material that is set by cooling, or a thermoset material that is set by heating. The wellbore line can be repaired upon exiting a wellbore or being unspooled from a reel.

The disclosure provides a downhole anchoring apparatus for use in a downhole tool. An example downhole anchoring apparatus may include a housing with a hub provided within the housing. The hub may be arranged to rotate in a bidirectional fashion about a longitudinal axis. The downhole anchoring apparatus may also include a deployment linkage.
