Abstract:
An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for generating a projected user interface. The apparatus may include at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured, with the processor, to cause the apparatus to receive information regarding a detected position of the user's body and to determine whether the detected position is an activation position, in which case the projection of a user interface may be provided. The user interface may be projected on an area on the user's body, such as a hand or a forearm, or on the surface of an object. The activation position may thus be a predefined position of the user's body in which effective projection of the user interface onto the surface and user interaction with the user interface is facilitated.

Abstract:
An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for distributively managing content between multiple user devices through the use of collaborative public display regions and/or designated private display regions. The apparatus may include a processor and a memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code may be configured, with the processor, to cause the apparatus to receive information regarding a detected device, provide for projection of a collaborative public display region that is shared with the detected device, receive input via a user's interaction with the collaborative public display region, and provide for transfer of the content based on the input received. Where a designated private display region is provided, input via a user's interaction with the designated private display region may be received, and the content may be displayed in the collaborative public display region based on the input received.

Abstract:
An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided for recording media events. In particular, the apparatus includes a processor and a memory including computer program code that are configured to cause the apparatus to identify a party to the media event and access authorization data associated with the party. The authorization data may indicate whether the party consents to the recording of the party's participation in the media event and, if so, under what circumstances. Location data may also be accessed regarding the location of the party, and the location data may also be considered. In this way, the determination of whether the party's voice or image may be recorded can be based on the explicit consent of the party, the legal jurisdiction in which the media event takes place, the location or environment of the media event, or a combination of one or more of these factors.

Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate user input based upon the relative position of their fingers. In the context of a method, sensor information is received that is indicative of the position of a first finger relative to a second finger. The first finger may be a thumb such that the sensor information is indicative of the position of the thumb relative to the second finger. In conjunction with the receipt of sensor information, the method receives sensor information from a sensor that is offset from an interface between the first and second fingers so as not to be positioned between the first and second fingers. The method also determines, with a processor, the relative position of the first and second fingers based upon the sensor information and causes performance of an operation in response to the relative position of the first and second fingers.
