A new and improved door-mounted poster support apparatus includes a U-shaped base member assembly which includes a middle base portion capable of resting on an upper surface of a door, and which also includes a first hanging base member which hangs from a first side of the middle base portion and a second hanging base member which hangs from a second side of the middle base portion. A transparent U-shaped cover assembly includes a middle cover portion capable of resting on the middle base portion. A first hanging cover member hangs from a first side of the middle cover portion and substantially covers the first hanging base member. A second hanging cover member hangs from a second side of the middle cover portion and substantially covers the second hanging base member. A closure assembly, in the form of a J-shaped lip, is located at respective bottom edges of the first hanging base member and the first hanging cover member for retaining a poster that is sandwiched between the first hanging base member and the first hanging cover member. A plurality of transparent plastic overlays may be provided that are capable of fitting onto the first hanging cover member.
