I am fifth Generation Ruskin farming family – currently growing, selling, and shipping Florida Citrus products right here in our own back yard. As a child my farmer father decided to become a Nuclear Engineer which gave me the opportunity to grow up in Idaho Falls Idaho where I enjoyed ice skating, snow skiing and camping and graduated from Gateway High School in Monroeville Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburg introducing me to a more formal world of theater and Universities while still enjoying my winter sports. My family ended up back at the farm, Dooley Groves, where I spent 25 years managed the accounting and sales departments for over 25 years. 7 sales locations, on line dept and up to 250 employees. After retiring from the family business in 1993, I married a New Homes Sales Consultant, obtained my Real Estate License and began working with Mercedes Homes, Windward Homes, K Hovnanian Homes and DR Horton as well as general real estate in Brandon, Lithia, Riverview, Plant City, Ruskin and Apollo Beach. At the same time, I attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa and Brandon and University of Tampa with exchange student time in England, Oxford University graduating Honors Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Aging Studies, death, dying and bereavement and serve part time as a Sr. Facilitator with Suncoast Kids Place where I work with grieving Children, Teens, and their caregivers in local schools, Prisons and Churches. I have served on the Board of the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce, and was president of the Ruskin Seafood festival. I currently attend Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon Florida and serve on the Ruskin Cemetery Board. With my broad background, I have learned to ask important probing questions, listen attentively to my clients, analyze individual situations, and share with knowledgeable insight solutions for their real estate selling and purchasing needs.
