Abstract:
A method of operation of a computer system for processing an arbitrary document such as a World Wide Web page to provide additional information not immediately available from the raw, unprocessed document. This additional information allows a user to navigate and control the content of the document using, in some embodiments, voice commands and/or an agent-based user interface. The present disclosure provides both a visual display of previously invisible links embedded in a web page image and an audible indication of the presence of such links. The present invention further comprises a scripting language that allows the rapid creation of executable computer instructions (or scripts) for controlling the behaviors and functionality of the agent-based interface. Such scripts enable the creation of a friendlier, easy to use interface to the navigation and control features. The present invention also comprises the ability to read the contents of an arbitrary web page aloud, including the names of embedded hypertext links, thus facilitating web surfing by the sightless.

Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer readable medium for use in photography are disclosed. A first electronic image analysis is performed on a potential image to determine whether any suitable subjects are within a frame of the potential image. If any suitable subjects are found in the frame, a second electronic image analysis is performed to determine whether the suitable subjects are in a predetermined position. The potential image is recorded if the second image analysis determines that the suitable subjects are in the predetermined position.

Abstract:
In one embodiment, the present invention determines an identification corresponding to a device and a user interface corresponding to the identification of the device is remotely loaded from a remote source. In another embodiment, a user interface corresponding to the identification of the device is locally loaded from a local source. In yet another embodiment, a basic user interface corresponding to the identification of the device is loaded if a user interface corresponding to the identification of the device is not found by searching remotely or locally.

Abstract:
An apparatus for interfacing with a user includes both a joystick and a joy pad. The joystick provides one type of input from the user to a computer program. Moreover, the joy pad is disposed in close proximity to the joystick and provides another type of input from the user to the computer program. The digital joy pad has one or more discrete inputs. The joystick extends upward vertically from a center of the joy pad. The joystick may include a circular top with a beveled edge. The joystick top has a radius that extends almost to a beginning of the one or more discrete inputs of the joy pad, whereby a user can move the joy stick and depress one input of the digital joy pad with a single digit. Thus, by placing the joystick and the joy pad in close proximity to each other, both can be activated by a single user's digit.
