Susan G. Komen Arizona 3-Day for the Cure raises almost $4 million
The Arizona event, one of 14 such walks in the U.S., this year raised $3.9 million, compared with last years tally of $4.4 million. Eighty percent of the funds go toward cancer research, education, screening and treatment, said a Komen spokeswoman, Dr. Sheri Phillips.
National Susan G. Komen spokesperson Sheri Phillips says this year's event was the non-profit's seventh success in the Tampa Bay area. "We are so thankful for Tampa Bay's continued support of our mission to end breast cancer," she said.
