Abstract:
An editing process receives a piece of content including at least one item therein, an edit form including at least one control available for receiving an item and for specifying attributes relating to displaying the received item in a page, and a content-control statement specifying for each of at least some items a control from the edit form to be employed to display the item in the page. An editor creates/edits a layout statement specifying each item to appear in the page, including a layout order and any attributes to be applied. The editing process outputs the edited layout statement and edited content. The edited content is an intermediate form of the content based on at least the edit form and the content-control statement, where a transforming process is to produce the page based on the edited content, the layout information, and a pre-selected rendering format.

Abstract:
A unique system and method that facilitates providing customized search results for a particular user. The system and method involve tracking user interactions with respect to a list of search results for a given query. In particular, click content, click order, and time stamp data can be collected for each submitted query on a per-user basis. Analysis of the collected data can facilitate inferring the user's context or intention with respect to the submitted query to improve the relevancy of returned search results. In addition, the presentation or appearance of the search results can vary according to user preferences, user profile data, or user interests. Thus, different users who submit similar queries using the same or similar terms can receive different sets of search results.

Abstract:
Technologies and techniques for displaying a set of documents having associated attribute data in a generated, map-like geographic representation. Documents may be assigned positions within the geographic representation according to the associated attribute data. The geographic representation may include multiple display levels respectively having different levels of detail associated with the documents. When the different display levels are rendered, the documents may be represented by topographical elements, attribute data, and/or document content. Rendered portions of the geographic representation may be overlaid with graphics to identify interrelated documents and visually connect the interrelated documents on a display device, thereby enabling a user to readily view the relationships between the documents. In visually connecting the interrelated documents, a document review path may be defined for a user to utilize in reviewing the interrelated documents.

Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for optimizing allocation of client devices, such as gaming devices, to different available data centers and servers, such as gaming servers, within a data center. The allocation maintains a satisfactory user experience while balancing costs and resource usage. Embodiments of the invention match a client to a data center and server based on a set of criteria related to the client device, user of the client device, game or application the user desires to play, available data centers for supporting the client device, and conditions of the network between the client device and data center. An allocation algorithm may be used to determine resource-efficient allocation. In one embodiment, a bidding process is employed wherein a client and data center are matched based on bids received from data centers. In one embodiment, allocation is periodically evaluated to determine if reassignment to another data center is needed.
