Abstract:

An electrical contact carrier strip includes a main body, a plurality of electrical contacts integrally formed with and connected to the main body, and a plurality of support tabs extending from the main body. Each of the support tabs includes a stem connected to the main body and a free expanded base that is aligned with and wider than the stem. The support tabs provide a clearance gap in which at least portions of the plurality of electrical contacts reside. The plurality of support tabs support the portions of the plurality of electrical contacts over a plane in which distal ends of each of the free expanded bases of the support tabs reside.

Abstract:

A female contact pin configured for use with a compliant pin system includes opposed contact beams separated by an opening, and spring-biased mating contacts surrounded by a protective box. The opposed contact beams are configured to be positioned within a plated thru hole. The opening closes when the opposed contact beams are positioned within the plated thru hole. Abstract:

A condition monitoring device for monitoring machinery includes a combination of on-board sensors and a condition monitoring module. The on-board sensors include modules for non-contact temperature, magnetic flux and 3-axis vibration sensing of the machinery. The condition monitoring module provides a condition monitoring signal containing information about an operating condition of the machinery, based upon a data synthesis condition monitoring technique that synthesizes non-contact temperature, magnetic flux and 3-axis vibration sensed data received from the combination of on-board sensors, determines a current operating condition of the machinery, and compares the current operating condition and the baseline operating condition of the machinery.

Abstract:

A recessed lighting fixture includes an elongated body including a flange and a pair of swing arms. The swing arms are deployable between a stowed configuration adjacent to the elongated body, to a deployed configuration wherein the swing arms extend radially from the elongated body. In the deployed configuration the swing arms are translatable along threaded members extending along the elongated body in order to clamp a ceiling or other surface between the swing arms and the flange to secure the recessed lighting fixture into a hole in the ceiling. The swing arms comprise removable portions that can be used to increase the range of thicknesses of surface in which the recessed lighting fixture can be installed.

Abstract:

A lighting mount assembly and method are disclosed to mount a recessed light fixture in an opening in a wall. The lighting mount assembly includes a mounting frame, and at least two adjustable brackets which are movable relative to the mounting frame. The mounting frame and the brackets cooperate to clamp a portion of the wall from opposing sides. Each of the brackets also includes a resilient member, such as a leg spring, which can be engaged to and disengaged from a portion of a light fixture, such as a groove, to hold or release the recessed light fixture in the wall opening.

Abstract:

A recessed light fixture, mountable on a wall, includes a trim, heat sink, fasteners and springs. The trim has a trim frame with a trim opening for a light source. The heat sink includes an open end which opens into a cavity to house a portion of the light source, and an interior surface with an interior groove that extends around the interior surface. Each spring has a first end and an opposing second end. The first end of the springs is connected to the trim frame with a fastener. The second end of the springs is inserted through the open end of the heat sink until the second end snaps into and engages the interior groove to connect the heat sink and the trim frame. The second end is movable along the interior groove to allow rotational adjustment of the trim frame relative to the heat sink.
