Abstract:
A cleaning composition is provided. The cleaning composition includes an anionic surfactant and a water hardness anti-precipitant mixture. The water hardness anti-precipitant mixture includes a dispersant and at least one of a sheeting agent and a humectant. The weight ratio of the dispersant to the total amount of the sheeting agent and the humectant can be at least about 1:75 and less than about 75:1. Methods for providing and using a ready to use cleaning composition are provided.

Abstract:
A method for providing a ready to use cleaning composition is provided. The method includes diluting a concentrate with water of dilution. The concentrate includes an anionic surfactant, an alkanolamine and a water hardness anti-precipitant mixture. The water hardness anti-precipitant mixture includes a maleic anhydride/olefin co-polymer and an EO-PO co-polymer. The EO-PO co-polymer having the formula:(EO)(PO)(EO)(PO)(EO)(PO)(PO)(EO)(PO)(EO)(PO)EO is an ethylene oxide group, PO is a propylene oxide group, x is between about 10 to about 130 and y is between about 15 to about 70.

Abstract:
A water removal composition and methods for using the same to remove excess water from a surface. The composition comprises a silicone polymer, quaternary ammonium emulsifier, co-emulsifier and an HLB stabilizing agent that modifies a treated surface to form a continuous hydrophobic layer enhancing water removal from the surface. The novel water removal compositions and methods for using the same result in a significant reduction of energy expenditure to remove excess water through air blowers and/or mechanical removal.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods for improving safety and delivery of commercial application of cleaning compositions that include enzymes and other protein irritants. The methods reduce the mist and aerosolization of proteins so that inhalation and exposure to the same are reduced. According to the invention, when commercial pressurized sprayers are used to apply protein containing use cleaning compositions of up to 5 ppm protein, aerosolization is decreased to below 60 ng active protein per meter cubed. Applicants have also identified a specific metering tip/nozzle, dispense rate, and low pressure application of not more than 100 psi are critical to achieving the benefits of the invention.
