Abstract:

An event logging interface on a computer system is used to record an event when an application hosted by the computer system encounters the event. The event logging interface receives data pertaining to an event from the application. Using the event logging interface, the computer system determines a logical target of the event, and determines one or more physical destinations referenced by the logical target. The data is then dispatched to one of the physical destinations.

Abstract:

A user credential comprising a user password and a one-time password (OTP) may be provided to access a computing system. The user password is authenticated and the network connection status of the computing system is determined. If the computing system is offline, the user password and the OTP are stored in memory and the user is granted a first level of access to the computing system. Upon detecting that the network connection status of the computing system has changed to online, the user password and the OTP are provided to an authentication server for authentication. If the authentication of the user password and the OTP is successful, the user is granted a second level of access to the computing system, the second level of access being higher than the first level of access.

Abstract:

A quick detachable coupler having a tubular female member receiving a tubular male member. The end of the female member into which the male member is inserted consists of a stiff continuous ring of resilient material provided with a pair of diametrically disposed latches and with a pair of diametrically disposed pressure portions. The male member is formed with an external latching and locking ring having a lead surface which engages corresponding lead surfaces on the latches to spread the latches against the spring pressure of the resilient ring to allow the male ring to travel past said latches and to be locked in position within said female member by locking surfaces on the latches engaging corresponding locking surfaces on the male locking ring. To release the male member from the female member, the pressure portions are squeezed together to produce a slight flattening of the female ring which spreads the latches apart sufficiently to release said male locking ring.

Abstract:

An elastomer ring seal for pressurized fluids that is particularly suited for preventing unidirectional fluid flow between outer and inner cylindrical surfaces of two or more mating members, which resists permanent deformation, and is highly leak resistant. The ring seal has an annular body with a central longitudinal axis and an irregular polygonal profile in right cross section comprising a solid base portion at its back axial end, concentric outer and inner asymmetrical independent arm members axially extending from said base portion to its front axial end. The arm members are set apart from each other by a deep annular depression which forms opposing radial walls of said arm members. The outer arm, configured to resist compression strain, includes; an outermost radial sealing portion near midpoint along the arm length; and includes a supporting narrow section toward the base portion, forming a thin flexible conical band around the ring seal outer side. The inner arm, configured to resist expansion strain, includes; an innermost radial sealing portion at midpoint along the arm length; and includes a supporting long tapering section with a thin locus at the base portion, forming a flexible circular hinge-like joint around the ring seal inner side.

An inspiratory force adapter designed to be connected between a tracheostomy tube and an inspiratory pressure gauge, comprising a hollow plastic body adapted to be grasped by the thumb and finger of the operator and having a finger port adapted to be closed by another finger of the operator when the inspiratory force of a patient is to be measured. The plastic body is provided with finger positioning surfaces so located as substantially to eliminate undesirable twisting motions of the adapter under the forces exerted by the operator's fingers.

Abstract:

A leak resistant reclosable plastic closure structure with stable interlocking fastener strips particularly suited for resealable and reopenable plastic film pouches or other flexible containers. The closure comprises first and second extruded thermoplastic continuous fastener strips having longitudinally extending engagable profiles having flanges affixed along the opening walls of a pouch forming marginal portions thereon. The first strip profile having a resilient central arch sealing means flanked by outward locking shoulders and walls that join at right angles to flanges forming a gap spanned by said film completing the exterior of a cavity therein. The second strip profile comprising a base element having a flexible narrow section and an adjacent ridge cooperating sealing member flanked by right angle walls terminating with inward locking hooks, said section bends when said portions are pulled apart providing disengaging means that allows one wall to tilt outward spreading the hooks, thereby disengaging the hooks from the shoulders. Manually engaging the strips locks the hooks and shoulders together while the second strip ridge displaces the first strip central arch forming a preloaded sealing joint along the length of the closure, said joint and shoulders being in triangular relationship, said film spanning said gap restrains the first strip flanges from spreading apart.
