Abstract:
A fishing lure having stabilizing wing-like fins along each side of the lure body is generally described. Stabilizing wing-like fins allow the lure to be trolled or retrieved under the water surface while remaining upright and swimming in a life-like motion. The stabilizing wings define a top surface and a bottom surface. The top surface is substantially perpendicular to the lure body. The bottom surface twists along an arcuate line from a plane that begins acute to the side surface of the lure body to a plane that is substantially perpendicular to the side section of the lure body. The lure can also include a diving element towards the head section of the lure. The diving element can be a weight located within the head section of the lure.
Weighted Fishing Lure Having Interchangeable Lure Body
A fishing lure having a reusable and interchangeable lure body is generally disclosed. The lure body can be changed without having to cut and retie the fishing line to the fishing lure. The fishing lure has two separate components that can be interchanged: the weighted hook and the lure body. A fishing line can be tied to the weighted hook. Different lure bodies can be affixed to the weighted hook to be fished.

Abstract:
A display and storage rack for fishing equipment is provided. Apart from displaying and storing fishing equipment, the rack may also be used for transporting fishing equipment. The rack includes an elongated frame that carries a plate. The plate is configured for retaining fishing equipment thereon. The plate may be adjustable so that the plate may be located at a desired position along the length of the frame.

Abstract:
A spincast fishing reel has a reel frame to which front and rear covers are attached. The rear cover includes a pivotable thumb button which is depressed by a user when fishing line is to be cast. The front cover closes the face of the reel, but defines a forward opening through which the fishing line extends. A normally nonrotatable line spool is located inside of the front cover on a spool hub of the reel frame. Fishing line is wound onto the line spool by a rotatable pickup head located forward of the line spool. An improved drag arrangement includes a gear nut mounted on a threaded portion of the spool hub. A gear train arrangement is provided to operatively connect a suitable thumb wheel with the gear nut. Rotation of the thumb wheel by a user causes rotation of the gear nut, which varies the drag force imposed on the line spool.

Abstract:
A collet nut has a nut member for threaded engagement with threads on a collet holder. A sleeve member is rotationally coupled to the nut member in a first tightening mode of the collet nut. An annular ring is rotationally coupled to the sleeve member and rotationally coupled to the nut member in the first tightening mode. Facing ramped bearing surfaces are defined between opposing faces of the annular ring and the nut member and bearing devices, such as balls, are disposed between the opposite faces. In the first tightening mode, the nut member and the annular ring rotate as a unit. In a second tightening mode, the annular ring rotates relative to the nut member so that opposing high sections of the ramped bearing surfaces are brought rotationally closer thereby forcing the annular ring axially away from the nut member which imparts an additional axial force to a collet engaging member of the collet nut.

Abstract:
A flasher including at least one rib elevated above the surface of the middle plate portion of the flasher is provided. The rib(s) may exaggerate the movement of the flasher when pulled through water, when compared to an otherwise identical flasher without the rib(s).
