Abstract:
Examples relate to a grid switch adapted for use with a power supply, wherein the grid switch selects an operational power grid from first and second power grids if one of power grids has failed, and selects between the first and second grids based on a policy if both the first and second power grids are operational.

Abstract:
A signal suitable for signaling a computer system to reduce power consumption is generated from a plurality of power supplies. The signal is asserted when at least one of the power supplies of the plurality of power supplies signals impairment, and at least one of the power supplies of the plurality of power supplies signals that the power supply is supplying current above a threshold level.

Abstract:
A fluid ejection device includes a thin film heater resistor portion having a heater resistor, and a two-layer structure disposed over the heater resistor. The two-layer structure includes a top layer and a bottom layer, with the top layer having a hardness that is at least 1.5 times greater than the hardness of the bottom layer.
Dual Axis Dynamic Focus Of An Electron Beam In A Display Monitor
A circuit within a display monitor is used to generate a focal voltage used to vary the focal length of an electron beam of a cathode ray tube. The circuit utilizes horizontal current placed on a horizontal deflection yoke of the cathode ray tube and utilizes vertical current placed on a vertical deflection yoke of the cathode ray tube. The circuit includes a horizontal capacitor, a vertical capacitor, a first amplifier, a second and a summing device. The horizontal capacitor is connected to the horizontal deflection yoke. Similarly, the vertical capacitor is connected to the vertical deflection yoke. The voltages across each of the vertical capacitor and the horizontal capacitor are amplified and summed to obtained the focal voltage.
Voltage Supervisory Circuit For A Multi-Rail Power Supply
An apparatus for supervising input voltages of a multi-rail power supply includes a corresponding voltage detector unit electrically connected to each rail for ascertaining values of the input voltages of each rail. An output of each voltage detector unit is electrically connected at a wired-or node. A pull-up resistor is connected between the wired-or node and a power supply for pulling the voltage level of the wired-or node high. Circuitry generates a power-good signal responsive to the voltage of the wired-or node being greater than a predetermined threshold voltage.

Abstract:
Examples described herein include a removable power inlet, a removable power supply, and an electrical connection between the removable power inlet and the removable power supply. The removable power inlet may send a signal to the removable power supply to indicate an ampere rating of the removable power inlet. The removable power supply may set a current limit on a power supplied from the removable power supply based on the signal.

The present disclosure is drawn to amorphous thin metal films and associated methods. Generally, an amorphous thin metal film can comprise a combination of four metals or metalloids including: 5 at % to 85 at % of a metalloid selected from the group of carbon, silicon, and boron; 5 at % to 85 at % of a first metal; 5 at % to 85 at % of a second metal; and 5 at % to 85 at % of a third metal wherein each metal is independently selected from the group of titanium, vanadium, chromium, cobalt, nickel, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, rhodium, palladium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, iridium, and platinum, wherein the first metal, the second metal, and the third metal are different metals. Typically, the four elements account for at least 70 at % of the amorphous thin metal film.
