About:
Born in Texas, I lived overseas as a youth in Santiago, Chile, then later in Washington, DC and subsequently in Boston Massachusetts. I attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. I moved back to Boston after graduating in 1978 with an undergraduate degree in psychology. Following college for a period of 16 years I worked in the emerging field of information systems for companies that included Arthur D. Little, Inc., Fidelity Investments and several others. While working for Arthur D. Little, where I was one of the youngest members of the professional staff, I provided consulting services to Fortune 500 companies helping them design, build and deploy databases. At Fidelity Investments in marketing systems I implemented a multi-terabyte database to analyze customer behavior using techniques in an emerging field now called data mining. In 1994 I left Boston and moved to Annapolis, Maryland. I came to Annapolis for a new adventure and to sail the Chesapeake Bay. Over a six years period I worked first for T. Rowe Price and then later for Oracle Corporation. At T. Rowe Price I had leadership responsibility for the strategy, design and specification of applications, setting data standards, and technical direction for marketing information systems within the retail marketing group. While working for Oracle Corporation I managed consulting services for several major Federal civilian accounts that included Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS, formerly the Health Care Financing Administration, HCFA), Social Security Administration (SSA), and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In 2001, following the events of 9/11, I left the corporate world behind to embark on a career in real estate. For my first three years in real estate I practiced in Annapolis, Maryland at Long & Foster Realtors then I spent a short time with Keller Williams Select Realtors. In 2006 after obtaining an Associate Broker license, I moved my real estate practice and team of five to the Annapolis Plaza office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. In 2013 I moved my real estate practice again, this time to the Gulf Coast in Sarasota Florida to live, work and play on the Suncoast along the West coast of Florida. With over 400 transactions ranging in price from $300,000 to $3,000,000 for more than $95M in sales, I successfully market homes for people that wish to sell them and help those people who want to buy their perfect dream home. Abstract:Disclosed herein is a method of generating a computerized bone model representative of at least a portion of a patient bone in a pre-degenerated state. The method includes: generating at least one image of the patient bone in a degenerated state; identifying a reference portion associated with a generally non-degenerated portion of the patient bone; identifying a degenerated portion associated with a generally degenerated portion of the patient bone; and using information from at least one image associated with the reference portion to modify at least one aspect associated with at least one image associated the generally degenerated portion. The method may further include employing the computerized bone model representative of the at least a portion of the patient bone in the pre-degenerated state in defining manufacturing instructions for the manufacture of a customized arthroplasty jig. Also disclosed herein is a customized arthroplasty jig manufactured according to the above-described method. The customized arthroplasty jig is configured to facilitate a prosthetic implant restoring a patient joint to a natural alignment.
