Abstract:

A translation circuit for mediating between a fiber-optic controller chip and a host device. The translation circuit may be on a fiber-optic transponder. The controller chip includes a phase locked loop that outputs a short synchronization signal when a hunting frequency passes through a target data signal frequency while hunting for a data signal and outputs a synchronization signal when the phase locked loop is locked onto a data signal. The translation circuit distinguishes between the synchronization signals and generates a lock signal when the phase locked loop is locked onto a data signal, but does not when the hunting frequency passes through the target data signal frequency. The lock signal may be used by a host device into which the fiber-optic transponder has been in installed. Errors from misinterpreted signals can thus be mitigated.

Abstract:

A waveguide/conduit clamp has a load bearing frame with slotted mounting provisions and two mated center rings, an inner circular member with a center cutout to accommodate a waveguide or other conduit member and an outer circular member with a circular cutout displaced from its centerline by a specified offset. Rotation of the outer member, while maintaining orientation of the central one, results in vertical and horizontal displacement of the cutout in the central unit. When proper vertical distance of the cutout is achieved, the clamp is moved in its slotted mounting base to provide final adjusted position of the central member's waveguide/conduit workpiece. Both circular members have slits allowing their placement around the workpiece and within the clamp's load bearing frame.

Abstract:

An improved wrap that is used in conjunction with beverages, especially those beverages that are placed into beverage holders. These wraps have a dual function of providing an enjoyable experience to the user by wicking away condensation and a protective barrier providing anti-microbial properties. The interior surface of the wrap is coated with materials that facilitate the absorption of moisture and the exterior of the wrap is coated with anti-bacterial agents. Embodiments of this improved wrap include the addition of advertising copy or coupons on the wrap and insulating materials that will keep the beverages hot or cold along with temperature sensitive inks that could warn the user that the beverage is hot or cold. Another embodiment will encompass fragrance that could add to the beverage enjoyment experience, such as wildflowers or lavender with certain teas.
