Abstract:

An infusion tube for use with standard wine barrels to impart oak characteristics to a wine. A quantity of small oak cubes are placed inside a section of perforated tube and the ends of the tube are sealed. The perforated tube is then inserted through the bung hole of the wine barrel, and the bung hole sealed with a bung member. This enables the winemaker to periodically replace the wood cubes by removing the infusion tube through the bung hole, replacing the wood cubes, and re-inserting the infusion tube back into the wine barrel.

Abstract:

An infusion apparatus for use with standard wine barrels to impart oak characteristics to a wine includes a permeable sleeve member consisting of one or more sleeve sections, each sleeve section containing a plurality of small oak staves, and terminating in a fastener for attachment to the wine barrel bung. The sleeve member sections are inserted through the bung hole of the wine barrel, and fastened to the bung for attachment. This enables the winemaker to achieve an oak extraction level of a new barrel with one load of the infusion sleeve over a reasonable period of time.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for optimizing a Lifetime Value (LTV) of a player of a plurality of computer-implemented games are disclosed. Data is collected from a game of the plurality of games, the data including game event data associated with the player, a playing environment within the game, and store action data. The data is analyzed with a first machine-learning (ML) system to create a time-dependent state representation of the game, the player, and the playing environment. The state representation is provided as input to a second ML system to create and optimize an ML policy over time, the ML policy including a functional relationship proposing a selection of one or more store actions within a store to maximize the LTV. One or more of the store actions chosen from the proposed selection in accordance with the ML policy and implemented within the store environment.
