Abstract:

A percussion instrument carrier system for carrying percussion instruments by members of a marching band. A preferred embodiment of the percussion instrument carrier system includes an interlock mechanism that provides for one of either mounting the percussion instrument onto the percussion instrument carrier or dismounting the percussion instrument from the percussion instrument carrier by only the manipulation of the percussion instrument in relation to the percussion instrument carrier as needed to respectively and operatively engage or disengage components of the interlock mounting system.

Abstract:

A lawn mower and spreader system includes a deck, a hopper, and a spreading element. The deck supports an engine having a power takeoff and at least partially surrounds a blade coupled to the power takeoff. The hopper is configured to support granular fertilizer. Furthermore, the hopper has a discharge chute leading to an opening in the deck. The spreading element is coupled to the power takeoff of the engine and is positioned between the deck and the blade. The spreading element includes a hub and arms that extend laterally from hub. The arms are spaced apart from one another by open slots.

Abstract:

A hose coupling system includes a housing, a valve plug, and a locking mechanism. The housing has an inlet and an outlet, and a flow path between the inlet and the outlet. The valve plug is positioned within the housing along the flow path, and is rotatable between a closed orientation and an opened orientation. The closed orientation blocks the flow path and the opened orientation unblocks the flow path. The locking mechanism is designed to releasably fasten an instrument to the housing, where the locking mechanism is adjustable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking mechanism and the valve plug are coupled such that adjusting the locking mechanism to the unlocked position rotates the valve plug to the closed orientation.
