Skills:
Decision making and implementing those decisions on the go. During my military service, I was a NCO the majority of the time. I was in the infantry and that caused me to develop the ability to think on my feet and improvise if things werent going as planned. When I was a Detective with the Hope Mills Police department, I regularly had to interview both victims and suspects. I always went in the room with a plan as I S. Gorwill, page 3 thought the interview was going to go, but I always had to adapt to some of the answers and where they led me. Inventory maintenance and ordering. I was assigned as the Assistant S4 NCO during a deployment. I had to learn the Army supply system on the fly in order to keep they battalion stocked with the supplies they needed to complete the mission. During the deployment, I worked with military and civilian contractors to get my mission completed. Tracking information using the internet or other sources. As a Detective, I investigated mostly white collar (money related) crimes. A majority of my time was spent searching on the computer to trace where the money came from or went. Use of weapons. I qualified with every weapon in an infantry platoon. I also qualified in the 90% range with every weapon I used while in the police department. Understanding legal verbiage. Due to my police work, I have read several statutes, both federal and state, and the legal disclaimers wrote by companies. I had to educate myself in the verbiage used in order to understand and use the information.
