The present invention relates to personal cleansing wipes articles which have superior softness, feel and cleansing properties. The wipes of the present invention comprise a substrate and an aqueous liquid cleansing composition which is coated onto or impregnated into said substrate to the extent of from about 100% to about 400% by weight of the substrate. The substrate is a single-layer, nonwoven substrate which is formed from hydroentangled fibers. Upon a substantial portion of a base surface comprising the substrate there exists a three-dimensional pattern comprising a plurality of discrete, raised fibrous regions. The raised fibrous regions have a density which is substantially the same as the density of the base surface. The raised fibrous regions are joined to the base surface by a fibrous transition region. The aqueous liquid cleansing composition comprises an effective amount of a cleansing surfactant.
The present invention is directed to a disposable article that contains a plurality of substrate layers. The article is selected from the group consisting of pad sized articles, grip sized articles, sheet sized articles and combinations. These articles have a cleansing composition associated with the substrate layers. The articles provide effective cleansing benefits to the skin and hair in a convenient, inexpensive, and sanitary manner. The articles of the present invention also have superior thickness. Additionally, the article has increased rigidity while at the same time is flexible. The increase in rigidity and thickness provides for an article that does not crush or crumple during use. The article of the present invention can also provide a therapeutic or aesthetic benefit without the need for a separate benefit providing product.

The article contains a fibrous, non-woven web and having a personal care composition associated with this web. The present invention relates to disposable, personal care articles useful for cleansing and/or treating the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces. These articles are used by the consumer by either wetting the dry article with water and then rubbing the article against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces, or taking a wet, disposable, personal care article and rubbing against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces or taking a moist, disposable, personal care article and rubbing against the skin, hair or other similar keratin-containing surfaces.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a disposable article that contains a plurality of substrate layers where at least one of the layers is an extruded low density foam and the article has a cleansing composition associated with the substrate layers. The article provides effective cleansing benefits to the skin and hair in a convenient, inexpensive, and sanitary manner. The article of the present invention also has superior thickness. The article has increased rigidity while at the same time is flexible. The increase in rigidity and thickness provides for an article that does not crush or crumple during use. The low density provides for an article that has improved handleability and reduced scratchy feel against the skin. The article of the present invention can also provide a therapeutic or aesthetic benefit without the need for a separate benefit providing product.

Abstract:
The present invention is a multi-phased personal care composition that contains at least two visually distinct phases. At least one of the visually distinct phases is a benefit phase that has a Flow Onset Temperature of at least about 97 F.; and wherein said visually distinct phases form a pattern; and wherein said visually distinct phases are packaged in physical contact with one another and are stable.

Abstract:
The invention provides a personal cleansing freezer bar comprising a skeleton structure having a relatively rigid, interlocking, semi-continuous, open, three-dimensional, crystalline mesh of neutralized carboxylic acid soap selected from the group consisting of sodium soap; wherein said bar is made by the following steps: (1) mixing a molten mixture comprising by weight of said bar: from about 15% to about 85% of said soap and from about 15% to about 40% water; (2) cooling said mixture to a semi-solid in a scraped wall heat exchanger freezer; (3) extruding said semi-solid as a soft plug; and (4) further cooling said soft plug to provide said personal cleansing bar.

Abstract:
The invention provides a firm, ultra mild, neutral pH freezer bar comprising: from about 10% to about 50% of monocarboxylic acid; wherein from about 20% to about 65% by weight of said monocarboxylic acid is neutralized; from about 20% to about 65% of an anionic and/or nonionic bar firmness aid, and from about 15% to about 40% water by weight of said bar; wherein said neutral pH is from about 6. 3 to about 8. 0; wherein the neutral pH freezer bar is made by the following steps: I. mixing a molten (170. degree. -205. degree. F. ; 76. degree. -96. degree. C. ) mixture comprising said carboxylic acid; water; and bar firmness aid; neutralizing said 20% to about 65% of said carboxylic acid, preferably with sodium hydroxide; II. cooling said mixture to a semi-solid in a scraped wall heat exchanger freezer; III. extruding said semi-solid as a soft plug; and further cooling and crystallizing said soft plug until firm to provide said neutral pH personal cleansing freezer bar.
