Abstract:

A ride control system for controlling a plurality of vehicles on a path includes a path processor and a bi-directional voting circuit in circuit with the path processor. Each vehicle of the plurality of vehicles may include a vehicle processor supported by the at least one vehicle and shunt relays in circuit with the at least one vehicle processor. Each vehicle processor may be configured to close a respective shunt relay upon a predetermined condition of the vehicle whereby the bi-directional voting circuit is activated to notify all other vehicles.

Abstract:

A method for determining slippage of at least one wheel of at least one vehicle having a motor and a processor that communicates velocity commands to the motor for varying a velocity of the vehicle is presented. The method includes determining an actual velocity of the vehicle over regular intervals; comparing, over regular intervals, the actual velocity of the vehicle to the expected velocity from the magnitude of the velocity commands to determine whether there is slip of the wheel of the vehicle; and reducing the magnitude of the velocity commands to equal approximately the actual velocity of the vehicle where there is slip of the wheel. A system and circuit carrying out the method are also presented.

Abstract:

A ladder stabilizing system including a pair of mounting assemblies coupled to a lower end of a ladder. Further provided are a pair of stabilizing mechanisms slidably engaged with respect to the mounting assemblies. A pair of feet are pivotally coupled to an associated stabilizing mechanism at a lower end thereof. The feet are adapted to pivot within a plane common to a plane defined by the vertical members of the ladder. Also included is a ladder shoe accessory comprising an elongated member having a rectangular configuration with a lower face and an upper face with a pair of elongated side faces integrally coupled between side edges of the lower face and upper face thereby defining an elongated slot. The upper face further has an elongated slit formed therein and extended between a pair of open ends of the ladder shoe accessory. Abstract:

A ride system includes a base, a ride vehicle, a platform assembly positioned between the base and the ride vehicle, and an extension mechanism coupled to the platform assembly and positioned between the base and the ride vehicle. The platform assembly includes a first platform, a second platform, and six legs extending between the first platform and the second platform, and the platform assembly is configured to actuate each of the six legs so as to move the first platform relative to the second platform in different configurations based on which of the six legs is actuated. The extension mechanism is configured to extend and contract so as to move the ride vehicle away from and toward, respectively, the base of the ride system.
