Abstract:

An all wheel steering system for a vehicle comprising a controller having a first input for receiving a signal from a hand wheel position sensor, a second input for receiving a signal from a vehicle speed sensor, and a third input for receiving a signal that varies depending upon whether a trailer is hitched the vehicle. The controller generates an output for controlling a rear wheel steering actuator. The output varies as a function of the first, second, and third inputs such that when a trailer is hitched to the vehicle the out-of-phase rear steer amount at low speeds is reduced and the in-phase rear steering amount at high speeds is increased.

Abstract:

A method, system, and computer program product for calculating a torque overlay command in a steering control system is provided. The method includes receiving a current hand wheel angle, receiving a change in vehicle yaw moment command, and calculating a lateral force in response to the change in vehicle yaw moment command. The method also includes determining a new tire side slip angle from the lateral force and calculating a commanded hand wheel angle from the new tire side slip angle. The method further includes calculating an error signal as a difference between the commanded hand wheel angle and the current hand wheel angle, and generating a torque overlay command from the error signal.

A remote computerized server has one or more Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, and a host computer has a driver communicatively coupling the host computer to the remote computerized server. Abstract:

A method and apparatus for improving power consumption characteristics of a system having an active mode and a low power mode. A signal source, such as a system clock, switches when the system is in active mode and does not switch when the system is in low power mode. An activity monitor is coupled to the signal source to detect if the signal source is switching. Based on the detection, the activity monitor drives switching control logic. The switching control logic disconnects nonessential auxiliary circuits from the power supply in response to a detection of a non-switching condition. When switching resumes, the switching control logic is driven by the activity monitor to restore power to the auxiliary circuit fast enough that power up does not delay system operation.

Abstract:

A musical instrument mute retention assembly with perpendicular mounting flange mount to a music stand at a parallel disposition with the ground surface, while also retaining multiple instrument mutes of various sizes and musical-related items in a level, upright disposition. The assembly provides a mute panel defined by mute apertures disposed in a linear, spaced-apart relationship. The mute panel also provides music item apertures disposed in a linear, spaced-apart relationship, and further being parallel to the mute apertures. A mounting flange fixedly attaches to the mute panel in a perpendicular disposition. The mounting flange interfaces with a gapped flange that extends from a sloped support panel of a music stand in slidable or fastenable engagement. Because the mounting flange is perpendicular to the mute panel, the retained mutes and music-related items are maintained parallel with the ground surface, facilitating access to the apertures and retained mutes.

Abstract:

A mute rack with palette shape and multiple retention apertures for retaining wind instrument mutes and music related items in upright position. The mute rack provides a palette-shaped panel defined by an edge, a left region, and a right region. The left and right regions join together at a junction region. The left region forms multiple left apertures, the right region forms multiple right apertures, and the junction region forms a junction aperture, with at least one of the apertures having a different dimension. A clamp bar detachably attaches the panel to a rod, like a music stand. The clamp bar comprises a torque mechanism that is rotatably manipulated to detachably attach to the rod. The clamp bar also comprises a bracket fixedly mated with the edge of the panel. The bracket forms a hole that enables passage of a screw of the torque mechanism for tightening against the rod.

Abstract:

A multi-arm swiveling mute rack provides swiveling arms and annular members that retain instrument mutes in an upright position, allowing each mute to be independently swiveled horizontally up to 360 for selective access to mutes. A base portion mounts to a shaft or flat surface near a musician for supporting mute rack. An axle extends vertically from base portion. A stationary lower plate receives axle, and a lower arm terminating at a lower annular member extends from the lower plate to retain a mute. Multiple rotatable upper plates and their respective upper arms terminating at upper annular members stacked above the lower plate. The upper plates swivel about the axle so that their respective arms and annular members swivel while retaining mutes. The arms are marked to define the relative angle of the mutes to each other. Multiple music item containers at the base portion retain music related items.
