Abstract:

Techniques are provided herein to provide a processor device that has tolerance for faults associated with operations of a translation lookaside buffer. In a processor device, contents of a translation lookaside buffer are stored in a memory that is protected by an error correction code (ECC) to provide an ECC-protected backup copy of the contents of the translation lookaside buffer. When a miss exception of the translation lookaside buffer is triggered during execution of a processor function, the contents of the translation lookaside buffer is refreshed with the ECC-protected backup copy. Future operations of the processor are made using the refreshed contents of the translation lookaside buffer.

Abstract:

A closure assembly includes a panel that defines an opening. A handle includes a grab bar that is moveable from a retracted position through the opening into an extended position. A cover is coupled to and moveable with the handle. The cover is disposed within the opening and flush with the exterior surface of the panel when in a closed position. When the handle moves from the retracted position into the extended position, the cover moves out of the closed position to allow the handle to pass through the opening. When the handle moves from the extended position into the retracted position, the cover moves into the closed position to close the opening. A closeout is coupled to and moveable with the handle. The closeout moves into an exposed position as the handle moves into the extended position to conceal the remainder of the opening not occupied by the handle.

In one embodiment there are provided systems and methods for detecting radio frequency interference (RFI) on a satellite that implements on-board processing. The system leverages an on-board programmable modem complex, and in some cases reprograms portions thereof, to function as an RF spectrum analyzer sensor element that captures and relays received RF information as meta-data to a ground-based system where that information can then be used, on the ground, to generate a spectral display of a received signal at the satellite.

Abstract:

A window reveal molding includes a C shaped inner member of high durometer plastic material including spaced apart legs which are closer together than the thickness of the window panel so the legs forcibly grip the opposed faces of the window panel. The molding also includes an outer member of low durometer plastic material which is coextruded onto the inner member. The outer member has a C shaped channel portion including legs encapsulating the legs of the inner member and extending beyond into sealing engagement with the window panel. The outer member also has a continuous flexible lip extruded integral therewith and extending therefrom into engagement with either an outer body panel or a recessed portion of a body panel flange when the window panel with the molding attached thereto is installed in the window opening so that the flexible lip bridges across the space between the window panel and the body panel. The inner member also includes a base connecting the legs and spaced from the edge of the window panel to define therebetween a cavity for receiving a bonding and sealing material. The flexible lip and the body panel define a water conducting drain channel between the molding and the vehicle body panel.

Abstract:

A knitted structure is configured for heat generation and distribution. In some embodiments, the knitted structure includes a knitted fabric including a first knitted layer and a second knitted layer opposite the first knitted layer. The first knitted layer has a first thermal conductivity. The second knitted layer has a second thermal conductivity. The second thermal conductivity is greater than the first thermal conductivity to faciliate heat transfer toward the first knitted layer. The knitted structure may further include a plurality of electrodes at least partially disposed inside the knitted fabric. Each of the plurality of electrodes is configured to generate heat within the knitted fabric upon receipt of electrical energy in order to distribute heat along the knitted structure and toward the first knitted layer.

A support assembly formed by an additive manufacturing process using a printing head includes a trim member. A body includes multiple layers of at least one polymeric material applied onto the trim member via the printing head. The multiple layers each have multiple resilient polymeric material elements. A protective and abrasion resistant polymeric material cover is applied over the body using the printing head. At least one structural element is positioned in the body by operation of the printing head. At least one sensor is positioned in the body. At least one passage is formed within the body by selective omission of the at least one polymeric material from the printing head as the printing head displaces during the additive manufacturing process.

A technique for providing localized stiffening of a vehicle trim panel, especially for high curvature areas. The vehicle trim panel includes an outer panel having an outer show surface and an inner surface. A plurality of discrete reinforcement elements are bonded to the inner surface of the outer panel at locations where localized stiffening is desired. The discrete elements can come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, where the combination of elements and the number of elements is selected for a particular trim panel stiffness.
