Abstract:
A small form factor optical disk drive is provided that incorporates a SIL/objective lens assembly. A laser for the small form factor optical disk drive has a coherence function having maxima spaced apart by intervals. The optical disk drive is configured such that a roundtrip optical path through the SIL/objective lens assembly is such that a coherence value for the laser is located in one of the intervals.

Novel methods and instrumentation for mass spectrometry are described. Zoom-time of flight mass spectrometry (Zoom-TOF) allows increased mass resolution over a pre-determined specific range of masses. Methods for retrofitting traditional time-of-flight (TOF) and distance of flight (DOF) mass spectrometers are described, as well as novel instruments capable of performing Zoom-TOF analyses.

Abstract:
A combined distance-of-flight mass spectrometry (DOFMS) and time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOFMS) instrument includes an ion source configured to produce ions having varying mass-to-charge ratios, a first detector configured to determine when each of the ions travels a predetermined distance, a second detector configured to determine how far each of the ions travels in a predetermined time, and a detector extraction region operable to direct portions of the ions either to the first detector or to the second detector.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for mounting optics to an LED lighting module include a retainer engageable with the lighting module and a removable upper plate for securing the optics in the retainer.
A lighting system and related methods are disclosed herein. The lighting system may have a mounting fixture and a light fixture. The mounting fixture is configured to engage a mounting surface. The light fixture is configured to engage the mounting fixture and has a driver configured to drive a light source. A first fastener having a movable elongated member is configured to removably couple the light fixture to the mounting fixture in an extended configuration. A second fastener having a quick connect feature is configured to removably couple the light fixture to the mounting fixture in a retracted configuration.

In the co-feature, Englands Ross Pearson (19-12 MMA, 11-9 UFC) meets Scotlands Steven Ray (19-6 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in a lightweight battle. The odds are neck-and-neck, and so are the picks. Six of our staff members are taking Pearson; four give the nod to Ray.
Steven Ray - Now at 3-1 in the UFC, the biggest problem with this loss is how it exposed his takedown defense and his deficiencies on the ground when it comes to submissions, getting up or creating a significant amount of space to improve position.
