Abstract:

A plastics waste processor is provided for efficiently compacting and melting plastics waste, so as to form easily disposable compact plastic units having a volume considerably smaller than the unprocessed plastics waste. The plastics waste processor has a waste containment chamber, a rotating chamber door, a jam breaker bar to facilitate opening of the door when jammed by melted plastic waste, pneumatically driven waste compaction means with plastic shedding rams, a waste containment chamber heating system, a processor temperature monitoring means, a cooling means, and a control means. Further a cable and hose management system is provided for protection of moving cables and hoses, as well as a washdown system for automatic cleaning of the processor.

Abstract:

A wing fold system of a wing of an aircraft. The system may include a first lock of a latch to prevent movement of a latch pin of the latch to prevent movement of an unfixed portion of the wing with respect to a fixed portion of the wing, the first lock may include a first cam configured to prevent the second lock from transitioning to a second engaged position until the first lock may be in a first engaged position via contact with a second cam of the second lock. A second lock of the latch, the second lock may include the second cam configured to prevent the first lock from transitioning away from the first engaged position until the second lock transitions away from the second engaged position.

Abstract:

Example flap actuation systems and related methods are disclosed herein. An example flap actuation system includes a first actuator, a second actuator, a first drive arm coupled to the first actuator and to a flap, a second drive arm coupled to the second actuator and to the flap, a first cam, and a first output shaft. The first cam is to couple to the first drive to enable the first actuator to actuate the flap via the first drive arm. The example flap actuation system includes a second cam and a second output shaft. The first cam is to be uncoupled from the first drive arm in response to a failure of the first actuator. The second actuator is to actuate the flap via the first drive arm and the second drive arm in response to the failure of the first actuator.

A nut plate assembly includes a base plate having base plate openings. The nut plate assembly includes channel fittings coupled to the bottom of the base plate each having a main body with a top facing the bottom of the base plate. Each channel fitting has a nut cap channel at the bottom of the main body aligned with the opening in the main body. The nut plate assembly includes nut caps received in the nut cap channels coupled to the channel fittings and positioned below the bottom of the main body. Aircrafts having foldable wings are disclosed. An example aircraft includes a fixed wing portion, a foldable wing tip, and a hinge interface to pivotally couple the foldable wing tip and the fixed wing portion.
