Abstract:
The invention features a method of preventing or treating a peripheral neuropathy that results from a systemic disease (e. g. , post-polio syndrome) or a toxic agent (e. g. , a chemotherapeutic agent), and that is not caused by an abnormal insulin level in a mammal.
