I am a Fort Lauderdale native, born at Holy Cross Hospital and raised in Coral Ridge. My grandparents moved their family here in the 1940s and we all watched the town develop into the Fort Lauderdale that we all know and love today. After I graduated Fort Lauderdale High School as a ‘Flying L”, I wanted to spread my wings. I moved to the North Shore of Boston. Yearning for the warm weather and waters of my home in Fort Lauderdale, I returned in 1995 and have been living back in town ever since. Being the “Venice of Florida”, boats are a popular method of transportation and the ocean has an impact in many people’s way of living. I enjoy many of the activities the ocean and inland waterways have to offer including the beach, fishing, snorkeling and SCUBA, stand-up paddle boarding and of course boating.
