About:
After graduating from Providence College in 1987, I had no idea what I wanted to be "when I grew up". The truth is, I don't think most 21 year olds really know but I knew one thing for sure, I was born with the gift of gab and the ability to be a good listener. Sometimes those two things don't always go hand in hand. But, I turned that gift into a very successful 13 year sales and marketing career with Delta Air Lines. In 2001, after the tragedy of 9/11, Delta offered employee packages in an effort to avoid layoffs and eventually bring people back as the industry rebounded. I opted to take a 5 year leave of absence and had planned to return in 2006. It was during that time that I pondered these thoughts.... What other career options might I consider? What was I good at? What else did I know how to do?
Well, some say that the best way to learn something and be good at it, is to experience it... I have personally moved and/or relocated a total of 18 times. Some were by choice, and others, not so much. The point is, I do know that moving can be an exciting time but it can also be a very daunting and stressful time. Since I have truly experienced the highs and the lows that can go along with moving, I thought I should try my hand at making this my next career.....Enter the real estate world!
So, I took the course, studied hard, passed the test and the rest is history. Since I chose this as my new profession, I've never looked back and incidentally decided not to return to Delta when my 5 year leave was over. I've sold countless homes and have helped so many people achieve their dream of being a home owner. I believe there are very few jobs quite as rewarding. This job sort of chose me and I believe I have found my true niche'. Not only can I empathize with my clients on all levels, I am able to counsel, negotiate and educate them so they are able to make wise decisions in what can be a very challenging real estate market. My clients trust me because I tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.
I consider myself one of the lucky ones. My husband and I are raising 3 great kids in a fantastic community and I have the ability and flexibility to work in a profession I love. What could be better? Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me. I look forward to working with you in helping to make your real estate dreams come true.
